International award of Prof. Zinecker from the Institute of Economics in the Best Scientific Publications Competition
Article by the author team of dr. hab. Maciej Ryczkowski from Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and prof. Ing. Marek Zinecker, Ph.D. from the Institute of Economics, Faculty of Economics, University of Technology, entitled "The interconnectedness of stock prices, money, and credit across time and frequency from 1970 to 2016", won a prestigious award in the Best Scientific Publications Competition, organized by the Polish Economic Society (Bydgoszcz Branch).
The paper, published in the international scientific journal "Technological and Economic Development of Economy", focuses on the presentation of the results of the joint research of the authors' team, which aims to use discrete and continuous wavelet transforms to assess the relationship between money supply, credit and stock price dynamics in 12 advanced industrial countries. The study uses advanced time-frequency methods to provide new insights into financial market dynamics. Prof. Zinecker commented on the practical application potential of the research results as follows.
